We are pretty flexible, and prefer open casting to just keeping a few characters available, but if we got to choose? These are the ones we'd like cast. If you want somebody completely different, that's fine. Just shoot us an email (lifeahead.mods @ gmail.com) and let us know you're interested, and we'll take it from there.


NOTE ABOUT PREVIOUSLY CAST CHARACTERS
Many of the following Characters are previously played Characters with a rich game history who are up for recasting. Their game history can be found by reading through previous game tags as appropriate. When recasting, we do not expect applicants to mimic the personality of, adapt the complete history of, or in general in any way copy the characters as they previously were in their initial application beyond the very basic history below. We do ask, however, if accepted, that they take into account any vital history with current players and discuss it with the relevant players as how best to readapt a "previously owned" character in the game. PB's are also completely up to the discretion of the applicant and PB changes are encouraged.


PREVIOUSLY CAST CHARACTERS:

Hannah Abbot (Previous History)
Hannah currently has her own crup walking buisness, and is friends with Mandy and Eloise as well as other Hufflepuffs. Currently she has gone home to look after her nan.

Eloise Midgen  (Previous History)
 Eloise runs a toyshop in Hogsmeade, sharing the shop and flat above with Greg. She was formerly in relationships with Michael and Anthony and Ron (Not at the same time!)

Oliver Wood (Previous History)
Oliver is currently playing for Puddlemere United and lives with his friend Penelope Clearwater. Fondness for kilts is a must!

Anthony Goldstein (Previous History)
Anthony has been working as an editor at Obscurus Books and presenting a history programme on REaL, but is currently out of the country seeking help for the strange visions he is afflicted with.  He has been in a relationship with Eloise Midgen and Pansy Parkinson.

Lee Jordan (Previous History)
Lee Jordan launched a radio station above the WWW with Percy Weasley, and is one of the on air presenters. He was in a relationship with George Weasley for many months after the Battle, and though this recently ended, the two are still friends. We would like applicants to take the history of this relationship and occupation into consideration with their application.

Theodore Nott ( Previous History)
Theodore  currently works for the Department of Mysteries and is married to Tracey Davis.

Zacharias Smith (Previous History)
Zach is currently a seeker for the Prides and was previously in a relationship with Mandy Brocklehurst.

Molly Weasley (Previous History)
Molly has been grieving the loss of her son and trying to keep her family together. She has recently become a grandmother for the second time with the birth of Bill and Fleur's daughter.

Arthur Weasley (Previous History)
Arthur has continued work at the Ministry and has tried to help his family heal.

Fleur Weasley (Previous History)
Fleur is mother to baby Marianne, and wife to Bill. She's been rather quiet and we would love to see other avenues of her character explored. After all, who can resist the Veela charms?

Charlie Weasley (Previous History)
Charlie is working on the welsh reserves but still makes it home every other weekend for Sunday lunch with the Weasleys.  He has a six year old son Magnus.

Wayne Hopkins (Previous History)


NEVER CAST CHARACTERS:

Terry Boot
Terry has not been played in our universe beyond mentions of being friends with Anthony and Michael, so he is just waiting for someone to come in and take him over.

Viktor Krum
So far, Viktor has not yet come into game. Presumably he is in Bulgaria, though we're open to alternative ideas for where he went after Bill and Fleur's wedding. The backstory for the past year and a half is really open other than having exchanged a few letters with Hermione since the Battle of Hogwarts, as well as a few with Fleur over the course of the last year. We would be happy to chalk some of his comments and actions at Bill and Fleur's wedding up to a bad day or personal problems, rather than writing him off as a womanizer who picks fights with crazy old men, but that's also an option too, if you like. If anyone is interested, we're excited to hear your take on everyone's - alright, not Ron's - favourite international Quidditch star, and look forward to any applications!

Xenophilius Lovegood
Here is a character with whom you have complete and utter freedom to play utterly mad plots till your heart is content. If you'd like to play a slightly barmy, very eccentric character in a game with lots of freedoms for his quirks, please apply!

PREVIOUSLY PLAYED AS NPCS:

Kingsley Shacklebolt
Kingsley is currently serving as Minister of Magic. He has been used minorly in a few plots, while still leaving room for someone to easily pick up a central character with lots of canon history. We're remarkably eager to have Kingsley; as a Minister, leader, Order member, family friend, and all around good man, his presence in game has been sorely missed. NPC threads include:
24 Sept - Kingsley writes to Neville Longbottom, asking if he would like his parents names to be included on a Memorial Stone in the soon-to-open Albus Park.
27 Sept - Neville agrees to adding his parents names to the Memorial Stone.
5 Oct - At the opening of Albus Park, Kingsley is the target of an attack by Rabastan Lestrange. He is saved by Rafael Montague, collapsing the platform where he and Neville were standing to cut the ribbon on the Memorial Stone. Kingsley and Neville are taken to St. Mungo's, and later discharged after having minor injuries mended.
23 Oct - Augusta Longbottom Floos Kingsley at home with news of Rabastan Lestrange's death.
24 Oct - With the controversy around Lestrange's death, Lee resigns as Ministry spokesperson and Kingsley must find a balance of honesty and security for his people.
22 Nov - Pansy meets with Kingsley about upgrading the health and living conditions for the prisoners in Azkaban.

OTHER CHARACTERS WE'D LIKE:

Professors
We would like to see Hogwarts become a more active community in the long run, as it was such a wonderful backdrop for the stories we all love so much. Current openings on the staff side include:
-Argus Filch; cranky and cantankerous caretaker (player may also take on Mrs. Norris).
-Filius Flitwick; Deputy Headmaster, Head of Ravenclaw House, and professor of Charms.
-Professor Vector; Arithmancy. Really, a wonderfully open character for you to flesh out!
-Madam Hooch; Flying instructor and referee of Hogwarts Quidditch (alive and well and thriving!), Hooch has a lot of opportunities to be more visible than she was in the books.
-Professor Sinistra; Astronomy. Also another character looking for a player who can bring a lot to the table, Sinistra teaches a very small class of eighth years as well as first through seventh years.
-Poppy Pomfrey; matron of the Hospital Wing, Poppy is also caring for Lavender Brown during her pregnancy and has been mentioned by several other students as well.
-Horace Slughorn; Potions, Head of Slytherin House. Horace has guided his eighth years in brewing Veritaserum and Blood-Replenishing Potions, and Slytherins would love their HoH to be played!
-Firenze; still shares lessons with Sibyll Trelawney, has some scarring from his injuries in the Battle of Hogwarts.
-Irma Pince; Hogwarts Librarian who may dearly wish to see the backside of Dennis Creevy, who along with Harry discovered her enjoyment of books on the topic of magical bindings.
-Sturgis Podmore; Order member, now Defense Against the Dark Arts professor and Head of Gryffindor House. Sturgis has proved to be a capable and challenging professor so far and brings great backstory from his involvement with the OotP.
-Bertram Aubrey; Transfiguration Professor. Former classmate of James, Remus, Sirius, and Peter, Professor Aubrey is considered amongst the women of Hogwarts to be rather dreamy.

Students

-Hufflepuff: Sixth Year;Owen Cadwallader Fifth Years; Eleanor Branstone, Laura Madley, Kevin Whitby, Fourth Year; Rose Zeller.
